Let's hang out with Oris
First off, let me start by saying a huge THANK YOU to the Bay Area watch community for being so supportive of this idea and these meetups.
I didn’t imagine, when I started this meetup group, that it would grow so quickly so fast!
While it is always a treat to see returning faces, yesterday brought along a LOT of new member and we couldn’t be more excited about that!
So much so that Rob and the Topper team needed some help “behind the counter”. Enter yours truly.
I had my first chance at being and help our fellow community member try on pieces and what a blast it was! I didn't really know what I was doing so thank you for going along for the ride!
As always, big thank you to Topper Jewelers for helping put together a great for us in partnership with Oris.
The Topper family were amazing hosts as always, with the amazing community spirit that comes from being a family owned shop.
Special shoutout to Beth from Oris, who brought some swag for the crew alongside their brand new 2017 Basel releases.
Everyone got to try on anything and everything they had their eyes on at Topper but the best part of any meetup and getting to know the fellow community members and their own tastes.
But as always, the best part of the meetup was interacting with of the Bay Area watch community.
These meet-ups our great because they bring us together beyond our computer screens and make new friendships around a common passion: watches!
People also get to show off their own pieces of course and what a show it was! From Breitling Navitimers, to vintage Rolex Submariners, vintage Omega Seamaster 300, and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 4100ST.
From modern JLC Geophysic Universal Time with a really cool deadbeat second hand, to Rolex Daytona, and Seiko Automatic Chronographs.
All in all, it was a lot of fun and I thank everyone that attended and helped make this yet another successful event!
